Beaver Works: Halloween

For Beaverworks, I led the full visual direction for their Halloween event, one of the venue’s highest-profile nights of the year.

The creative approach centred on a tactile, deliberately raw aesthetic, using hand-drawn illustration and a stripped-back black and red palette to create something immediate, gritty, and visually striking. This marked a shift in my output for Beaverworks, moving toward a more expressive and concept-driven visual style.

I developed the core campaign artwork and system, which was rolled out across all promotional formats including social media, digital listings, and physical print.

For the first time, I was also commissioned to design a fully illustrated event map, depicting the venue as a detailed, immersive scene that reflected the distinct themes and music genres of each room. The map combined clarity of navigation with a strong visual identity, extending the campaign into the physical event experience.

The event sold out in advance, and the success of the visual direction led to further collaboration, including a follow-up Halloween 2.0 event the following February.
